'Hizb ut-Tahrir' and 'Al-Muhajiroun' are they Muslims or not?

Bristol Broadband Co-operative | 30.09.2008 17:24 | Anti-racism | Terror War

Dialect Radio is a Bristol (UK) internet broadcasting Co-operative run by volunteers. Our main activity is our weekly current affairs and arts magazine programme Dialect, which is recorded at our Queen's Square studios and posted for download every weekend. Want to volunteer? Volunteering Bristol, Royal Oak House, Royal Oak Avenue, Bristol. BS1 4GB Tel: 0117 989 7733.

We hear how most Muslims do not believe the official story of the London Bombings and Dr. Naseem's calls for a free and open public enquiry into the day's bomb attacks. Dr Naseem's experience of what he sees as pseudo-Islamic organisations run by British, US and Israeli Intelligence services, 'Hizb ut-Tahrir' and 'Al-Muhajiroun' is discussed at length.

"Dr Naseem's experience of what he sees as pseudo-Islamic organisations run by British, US and Israeli Intelligence services, 'Hizb ut-Tahrir' and 'Al-Muhajiroun' is discussed at length."

If this is the case, then why did Tony Blair want to ban Hizb ut-Tahrir back in 2006...?

Logic of Religion

"Pseudo-Islamic organisations run by British, US and Israeli Intelligence services" would benefit from Tony Blair trying to ban them since this would give them publicity and radical legitimacy. On the other hand, every progressive organisation since the Luddites has been infiltrated by the State. (EP Thompson: History of the English Working Class). We are all run by various fascist and or state infiltrators to some extent so the question is to what extent the two organisations mentioned are. The point made in the programme is that these 2 organisations shared ideology is against non-Muslims entering the Mosque whereas the Prophet did allow Christians to pray in his Mosque. He defines them as "non-muslim" because their ideology is in conflict with the Quoran.

"Pseudo gangs"

01.10.2008 22:42

Not saying whether there is anything in this or not, as I haven't looked into it, but the state tactic of establishing "pseudo gangs" is well established and has certainly been used in the past. The theory and practice was fully set out by Brigadier Kitson. It only takes one or two people to establish a "pseudo gang", positioned so that it attracts others for whom already existing organisations or campaigns aren't radical enough in their ideology or tactics.

(a) Hizb ut-Tahrir weren't, in the end, banned in 2006.

(b) That decision could have been merely tactical. A "pseudo gang" going underground is a huge bonus from the point of view of the "security" and "intelligence" services (aka agent provocateurs). Indeed, known and outed "pseudo gangs" have often been wholly or partly underground from the outset.

Again, I'm not saying this is necessarily what's going on here and I have no time for conspiracy theories, simply that the tactic has been used before and could be at work again. It's a very British-style dirty trick, going back well before Brigadier Kitson and the war in the north of Ireland, at least to the setting up of Mary Queen of Scots for execution.

Of course 99.99% of those associating with a "pseudo gang" have no idea that they are being used, either to lead to others or as convenient patsies to be set up and sent down. Even the 0.01% may not always grasp what is really going on and think they are simply acting as grasses or state spies.
