The Great Collapse

Capitalist | 30.09.2008 08:46

It seems that the collapse of Capitalism is not worthy Indymedia News.

So I will not tell you about it, but perhaps some timely advice should be given.

Those who have money stashed under the mattress must be very carefull. Stupid fools will be rushing out to buy cheap shares. Just remember that if you had gone out anf bought shares AFTER the Great Crash in 1929, by 1932 those shares would have lost 70% of their value.

BBC today reports the prime stupidity of Conservatives who at a meeting voted Dear Margaret as the greatest UK Prime Minister. One would have thought their best was Disraeli who gave Tories power for many years by buying working class votes by giving them votes. Thatcher was quite corrupt buying working class votes with State money in the Council House discount hand out.

Without honesty Capitalism cannot work long term. The rots and corruptions introduced by Thatcher have to be faced or the Tory Party is unfit to Govern.

Indymedia - reminder

30.09.2008 09:43

Once again:

The news that appears on Indymedia is the news that people (you and me) post there and that doesn't breach the guidelines. There is editorial collective deciding what to publish, other than moderating for the public guidelines. If you think there should be news on Indymedia about the rejection of the Wall Street bailout, write it and post it. And stop whinging.

Mixed Economy

30.09.2008 11:36

A large and ideologically heterogeneous movement has taken shape that opposes "globalization," as the term is variously defined and understood. We can expect to see this opposition become much larger, much better organized, and much more militant. And we can also expect to see these developments over-matched by an even more dramatic escalation in the tactics used by the domestic arm of the Empire's military.

The tiny url is a McCain PR viral, I'm surprised to see it here ( check the "Change is on the Ballot! slide appearing just before McCain is shown, with Obamma given all blame for the crisis rather than Bush or McCain who all voted for the bail-out.

Better writing comes in the Financial Times which predicts a "Great Depression of the 2010s" and autarky, which is more worthy of discussion here.
