Colombia Solidarity Campaign | 16.09.2008 00:27 | Repression | Social Struggles | London
on Tuesday 16th September 2008 starting at 7pm
Upstairs at the Apple Tree pub, 45 Mount Pleasant, London, WC1X 0AE Map
The meeting will feature a report back from our delegation to Colombia.
The delegation attended the hearing of the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal on Indigenous Peoples in Colombia and the closing session of the series of Tribunal which have been held on the way multinationals have colluded with, or benefited from, multinational investment in Colombia.
The delegation also visited communities in La Guajira affected by the massive Cerrejon coal mine - communities that the Campaign has been supporting over the years.
There will also be reports from events in London and we will talk about the next issue of Frontline Latin America
Also our website has been reworked over the summer and now contains a substantial amount of materials and links to resources that you may find of interest.
