IOM announces launch of the Return & Rebuild Programme: "Extra support" for those returning to Afghanistan and Iraq.

"Asylum seekers who voluntarily return to Afghanistan or Iraq will receive both individually tailored Reintegration Assistance PLUS the new 'Return & Rebuild' support, says Ana Fonesca, IOM UK's Acting Chief of Mission.

"Most of the beneficiaries of our programmes return to their original homes. But in Afghanistan and Iraq particularly, the condition of the property may have deteriorated in their absence...Asylum seekers can now receive up to £2,000 worth of support for building materials to assist in the reconstruction or repair of their family home."
