Northern Venue needed for Free-food fayre

Jen @ NARC | 10.09.2008 00:20

Basically, we're trying to find a venue for Animal Aid to hold a free-food fayre in November (Vegan Month). Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

The venue needs to be somewhere that is central and quite busy with a kitchen Animal Aid can use for cooking. The fayre will be held on a Saturday and we need to sort this out ASAP. A vegetarian festival held at the university in Newcastle went OK, however it lacked advertising and was a bit of the way.

If you know of any venues we could check out, please do get in touch with us. We're checking out a couple of possibilities in Newcastle, but if you know of anywhere else in Leeds, Middlesborough, etc. that would be fantastic!

West Midlands have had their fayre planned for a while now, so if you're about, that one should be great to head along to as well!

Thanks, Jen

World Vegan Day Festival

Good luck finding that venue NARC!!

The West Midlands Vegan Festival is on Sat 1st November(World Vegan Day), in Wolverhampton. This will be well worth travelling to from the north, south, east and west! Not yet as big as the London or Bristol Vegan Festivals, but give it time and it may be in a few years! :)

Check out the event website  http://www.midlandsveganfestival.org.uk where you`ll find details of the 40+ stallholders, the 12 talks/workshops, the 3 cookery demos, the Vegan Society Awards presentation and details of the many other attractions at the event!

See you all there! :)
