Lime render at Ecoworks

Straw Dog | 05.09.2008 11:16

There will be a LIME RENDER ACTIVITY DAY on the Ecoworks straw bale building on Saturday 13th September, and a HERITAGE OPEN DAY on Sunday 14th September. All welcome.

On Saturday, we will be applying Lime Render to the outside of the building, which will involve making up the lime/sand mix, treading it, and applying it by hand in a nice sculptural style to the building! This will be the last lime application of the summer, and we will be making "finishing touches" to the limework, hopefully approaching the finished state.

We will be working from 10.30am - 5pm. Wear old clothes, and bring wellies if you have them, also bring your lunch (we can provide hot drinks).

The next day, Sunday 14th September, Ecoworks will be open as part of the HERITAGE OPEN DAY, with loads going on around the site (and opportunities to work on the straw bale building if you want). See more at  http://www.staa-allotments.org.uk/events/open.htm

Ecoworks community garden is reached off Ransom Road, St. Ann's, Nottingham; follow the main avenue up the hill to the car park, and we are down the path of that car park.
