I recently send Foreign Secretary, David "Why can't I be King" Miliband a email regarding his recent attacks against Russia at  msu.correspondence@fco.gov.uk
Miliband along with Gordon Broon have been wrongly accusing Russia of breaking international law in the recent conflict in Georgia, when it is clear that Russia were only responding to illegal aggression from Georgia. Miliband and Broon seem to be following the United States Strategy of surrounding Russia with pro-western 'democracies' and provoking another cold war.

Send Miliband a email at his foreign office email address. Remind him of the facts that Saaskashvili attacked Russia first. Ask him to stop following US strategy in provoking another cold war with Russia.
Below is draft of letter I sent.

Dear Mr Miliband

On 18.08.08, at the NATO conference you stated that "The Nato membership was clear that Russia had violated international laws as well as the rules of the international game." . I am not understanding this analysis. As far as I am aware Saaskashvili sent Georgian troops into South Ossetia on the 7 August when everybody was distracted by the Olympics. The reports are clear that these attacks led to the death of 74 peacekeepers and several thousand civilians, not counting the vast amount of refugees.
The Russian response was vital in that it helped stop ethnic cleansing and possible genocide. The Russian response by the standards of international law were legitimate in that they were defending Russian citizens and peacekeepers. Who else would have intervened if not the Russians? It is also clear that the Georgian troops were trained and armed by the Americans and NATO.
When Russia crossed into Georgia these actions was also legitimate as Saaskashvili had declared war on Russia and the military bases outside South Ossetia were being used to support the criminal actions of Saaskashvili. So the military bases were legitimate targets and the Russians were justified in making those bases unusable.
What exactly are the "rules of the international game"? Does this mean that the west should be able to provoke and humiliate Russia, and Russia does not have the right to respond?
If I can add that whatever the "international game" is, Saaskashvili with is criminal and terrorist attacks has likely ruined the game for the west. Russia has decided that it is no longer going to be provoked by NATO and is going to stick up for itself. A golden opportunity has been lost where Europe and Russia could have entered into a partnership of equals, unfortunately the US and UK seem to want different.
