Support Russia

Russ O'Phile | 16.08.2008 21:32

The corporate media has been spinning the Russia Georgia story - to the ends of those in the policy offices who want to see a new cold war.

Georgia's atrocities against the South Ossetians were carried out by its army, following government orders. Only after peacekeepers from a multi national Russian led force were killed - did Russia respond.

It is within its rights to act - in humanitarian intervention - to defend its citizens and others in the South Ossetian region.

the Georgian leadership looks increasingly unhinged, out of control and has to be stopped. Saakashvili's violently nationalist rhetoric and violent actions against other ethnic groups is a very real threat to the stability of the region and to those people's peace and human rights.

A pox on all their regimes

Your item is correct, but you don't define what "support Russia" means and it does not follow that anyone should support RasPutin's Russia. Instead, Saakashvili must be condemned and any supportable military effort must be directed to his apprehension, trial, conviction and execution for his war crimes against humanity in South Ossetia, along with the others of his regime responsible for the slaughter of the 2000 civilian (out of a total population of 75,000) South Ossetians. If the hypocritical Bush Regime whines about it, remind them of how they invaded Panama to snatch Noriega merely for drug charges. However, targeting the Georgian people as a whole with a savage military response in response to Saakashvili's monstrous crime is simply wrong and is itself criminal.

Georgia is indeed run by a genocidal psychotic American puppet of the Hitler carpet-eating type - see the BBC news clip showing Saakashvili eating his tie while addressing the Georgian people at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kid379OjuC0

But RasPutin is himself a degenerate genocidal maniac as demonstrated by repeated acts of criminality in Chechnya and Daghestan and should himself face apprehension, a war crimes trial, conviction and execution, along with Georgian puppetmaster George Bush, who probably thinks Georgia was named for him.

Support war crimes trials for all those involved? YES!

Support Russia? NO!
