Regular Ciba Vision, Novartis Protest Gets More Support

Activists from across the south paid our weekly visit to Ciba Vision, Novartis.

Friday 8th August

You would think that we would be bored of coming here by now (no where near as bored as the Novartis employees are at having to have their lunch bought in and being told to get inside quickly) but alas, with Mr Grupy the burger man's valued customers giving us more and more support, there has barely ever been a better time to demos at this site.

Our numbers were close to our 'allowed' maximum again and with the local builders and even a local driving instructor pulling in to be very vocal about how much they support our cause, our noise and visual representation never dwindled.

Our megaphone time was used loudly and effectively (as much as you can be on medium volume) but the wind was in our favour and not only carried the megaphone, but our chants from demo point A right into the front doors and windows of Ciba Vision. We could tell we were making an impact when the security came outside just to give us a few choice hand gestures (safely a good 100ft behind the injunction line while the police were facing the other way, of course).

The summer is far from over, and as the sun shines down on our protests our compassion, noise and effect stay high. There is only one way to end this Novartis. Severe your ties with HLS.
