National grid pwned - inside job?

I'm forwarding this email I just received from a mate of mine who's temping in the national grid switching and distribution centre.

"Something wierd just happened at work. All the bofins start shouting at each other, so I said wassup? And one of them said, part of the grid just tried to disconnect itself and we don't know why. So I hung around to see why they were all so stressed. They were all looking at maps and diagrams of the south east. They kept on saying 'the power balancing is wrong here' and they kept trying to get it right, but they were getting really freaked by it. So after about 20 minutes of this, they said somone's sending false signals over the control link to an isolator in kent. They think it's a hacker. Then one of them said that's not possible so it must be an inside job, or something like that. Then they told me I had to take the rest of the day off, but I'd still get paid, so that was cool. But I reckon they just got pwned"
