Colin Bakemore More Monkey Business?

Full article see  http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/jul/21/animal.testing

"Prof Colin Blakemore of Oxford University, the former head of the Medical Research Council, said that there was now a "substantially different climate" of public opinion about animal research compared with five years ago. He wants to see a less shrill and more constructive debate on the issue and is trying to foster contact between scientists and groups such as the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection that oppose animal testing. "In terms of the more nuanced debate I've talked about before, if ever we are going to do that now is the time," he said. He no longer works with live animals himself."

He better apologise first!

I think Colin Blakemore should apologise to all the victims of vivisection before opening any sort of dialogue...I'm sure everyone can agree these guys deserve an apology:

Not to mention the billions of animals victims pointlessly massacred for people like Blakemore's egos, all so they can see their names in scientific journals.

Maybe instead of debating with apologists like the BUAV, maybe he'd like to engage in a debate with a Scientific Anti-Vivisectionist like Dr Andre Menache, (a well known dangerous extremist), something that vivisectors are too afraid to do because facts are dangerous when your whole career's been based on a scientific lie!!!

His work, His fault!!!

This would be likely having dialogue with Fred West on women's rights.

BUAV - a few home truths

BUAV are the vivisectors' best friends. They have betrayed their original hard-line abolitionist roots when under the leadership of the great Dr Hadwen, and have never undertaken a determined campaign against the use of animals for medical research purposes, only ever going in for 'soft' options, like cosmetics. Their 'scientific advisor' is an ex vivisector whose husband works for Ciba Geigy.

Do you think the vile Blakemore would ever debate a genuine abolitionist? Of course not, hence his happiness to enter discussions with the BUAV. It is importnt that AVs are aware of these matters, and though the story is long it has been well documented by the late medical historian Hans Ruesch.

See: www.vivisectionfraud.com and in particular the two CIVIS Bulletins, the Foundation Reports, and the articles on infiltration.
