One flat. Alarmist report. Calm down.

The report says that one flat where 2 people live was raided.
No call for "they're coming!" type of hysteria.

IM Scotland infiltrated
01.08.2008 16:26
So tell us agin CH why no one should worry about police raids ? Cos my dad was hospitalised after the last police raid an IM Scotland admin organised, in risk of his life. Next time that happens you'll be third on the list of people I blame. I report that on IM Scotland today and my PC is hacked. And zero interest from the 'IM Scotland citizen journalists.
To any uninvolved observers, the truth is the movement has been widely infiltrated over the past seven years at least, and the infiltrators are all in positions of influence and importance now. They aren't too numerous, but it only takes a couple to betray the rest of us. I would say it is time to panic about this, or act. I would certainly avoid IM Scotland like the plague. If the cops can't lean on you personally then they will lean heavily on those you love.

A real discussion with appropriate anger

This isn't new - in my opinion what is new is that someone (me) claims to have proof that the very media we are using to publish these injustices are part of the alternative media we use to publish. And that no one is investigating that claim if only to trash it. What certainly is news is that noone here dare publish this yet for pedestrian reasons. As if this was the only media available.
Imo it isn't tha shameful that IM has been infiltrated - but the fact that no one in IM dares to investigate this is deeply shameful.
For the rest of you who haven't yet been affected, I think (and have some evidence that) IM-UK is still safe to post on. IM Scotland is definitely not. But the sickness is spreading.
Those of you who are raided in future, bear in mind not everyone here is your enemy but the odd individual will be. Try to realise the cops aren't your real enemy, try to treat them as you would wish to be treated. My own summary is this is less like the start of Macarthyist with hunts, more like the start of the 16th century witch trials. The state has tipped it's hand here, once too often.
CH, any comment yet? Makhno ? Any IM Scotland insider ?
For shame and disgrace on you.

What no - proof ?

My comments are there, unhidden, on www0 ?c=all version of this website. I have never seen such a disparity between IM servers before. Got to tell you something
It doesn't reallly matter to me whether IM publishes my proof IM Scotland admins are acting as police informers. Someone will publish it, if only for the worst of reasons. It does seem worrying that no-one in IM UK seems interested that I have proof - not evidence, I do mean proof - that an IM Scotland admin has been grassing up anarchists to the cops. I don't mean to impugn any of the IM-UK admins here, but the fact your fellow collective is state-complicit ought to concern you a tiny wee bit.
Ach, just ignore it, I'll sort it out for you. Journalism-schmournalism, what matters is if you fit in at the next get-together. Big round of applause from me to all the grasses here. Guess who should look at lamp-posts in different light for their last few days?
The revolution, like charity, starts at home. IM Scotland, you are not Scotland. You are not even close

There are admins within IM Collectives who are agents of the state. I could prove that to anyone who expresses an interest. My impression is it is much worse in Scotland than elsewhere, and I'd guess that is because we Scots are as gullible as we ever were. I personally am about to change that but it will mean incriminating myself and embarrassing people I love or respect. Fuck it. I made a big mistake a long time ago. I couldn't see any reason in reporting the crimes of the police infiltrators to the police. I do know see why that is necessary - mainly to let the local community know what monsters lie in their midst.
So here is my take, my opinion. The 'authorities' have managed to place several infiltrators into key positions in the dissident community. ( By the way, anyone reading this should consider themselves a dissident in the Eastern European sense of the word.) That should be unsurprising to any intelligent, unconnected observer, that is what should be expected by all of us - that is why you pay your taxes after all, to protect decent rich people from scum like us. Some IMCistaas think you can't expose an agent without causing more fear and distrust than the agent could have caused on their own. I disagreed then, and I know I was right to disagree. From my experience, and acknowledging that this always happened before, the infiltration has increased enormously over the past seven years although there were already established agents who were commonly well-respected before I ever got involved. The agents are skilled and resourced and have managed to silence a movement that was so popular that it proved a genuine threat to their war-mongering. Some of them are wannabe James Bonds, just keen for adventure whtever the cost - nd they do not mourn us or our love of freedom. Some of them have been blackmailed into their betrayal due to some previous event that shames them. It doesn't matter - they have helped destroy innocent lives for no good reason, from here to Oaxaca, and they think they do so with impunity. To those people I have to say - there is no impunity. You too perhaps have a home, a family maybe, you are identifiable and your acts are identifiable. And you can no longer be forgiven or ignored.
Now assume for a minute what I've said is true. Where and why did it all go wrong ? In my opinion, it went wrong when we allowed people to adopt 'key positions' . Whether they are good or bad people is irrelevant, when any single person gets too much influence then they will be targettted. That is why anarchists are correct when they (ever so rarely) challenge the people in those 'key positions' - those positions shouldn't exist. Yet they do and in existing they are our weakest point. If I was to propose a revolution then I would suggest the first hundred lamposts are saved for the worthies from our own ranks. They are rank, complicit, shitty to the nth degree. They ruin our lives and kill our friends. I don't hate the police, this situation isn't of their making, I have found them to be comparitively respectful for people whose job implies violence. Hating the cops is like hating the bouncers at a club, pointless. I do have a different attitude to the MI5 AceHoles who sleep with us, hug us and then condemn us.
"I'm not an anarchist because I don't want to label myself but...." But nothing. You betray your peers unfairly and there will be recompense. Your side is losing, your own deeds will one day be historical fact. In future no one will condemn those who take vengance on you.
So here is what I am going to do. If no-one from any Indymedia except IM Scotland is interested in the story of the proven IM Infiltrator, I'll pass it to a respectable newspaper. If they aren't interested, I'll pass it to some less respectable newspaper.
