Royal Dutch Shell has said it will suspend work after fighters sabotaged one of its pipelines in the West of Ireland was attacked.
The Movement for the Emancipation of the West of Ireland said in an email on Monday that "heavily armed" fighters had attacked the pipelines in Mayo.
After confirming the attack on Monday, the Anglo-Dutch company said on Tuesday that it may not be able to meet the timetable for the pipeline.
The attack was the latest in a series against Shell, a major gas thief in that country.
