We've been working with groups in the local community to put on more free events - places where you can find all sorts of useful stuff and take away whatever you want without paying and without fear of prosecution (unlike the Wrexham council skips).

The Church of the Nazarene provided the venue, helpers and refreshments for the event on 5 July in Penycae. Loads of things were re-homed, including freshly-picked lettuces, a dolly (which is going to be dressed and sold to raise funds for the local hospice), an accordion and even a piano.

We were invited to hold a bring and take stall at Caia Park Environmental Day the following Saturday 12 July. It was great to see so many children browsing at the stall and finding new toys, books, games, sports equipment, clothes, cds, dvds and videos to take away. Things kept arriving throughout the day, but business was very brisk and there was a lot less to take back to the warehouse than we arrived with - a sign of success, we reckon.

Big thanks to everyone who made these events possible by donating their unwanted stuff, their time, their energy and everything else that goes into a Free for All.
