WHAT'S ON OFFER:

A FREE city centre event which will be a showcase for local musicians, poets, rappers, dancers and various other performers. We hope the event will bring CND and other groups new contacts and interest from the public. There's entertainment inside the church and outside, with over 20 stalls in the gardens.

PERFORMERS AND ENTERTAINMENT:
Musicians: Stuart Todd, Alan Parry Band, Natalie McCool, 2True Productions, Steve Beard, The Mono LPs, Young Kof, Tony Kehoe and Steve Roberts and the Zen Bank of England.

Poets: Syd Leathwood, Peter Crompton, Wes Burns and more.

Speakers: Kate Hudson (CND), Liz Gould (Greenpeace), Liz Screen (SLP), Peter Cranie (Green Party), Mark Holt (MStWC) and others.

Other entertainment planned includes drummers, Turkish dancers, Irish dance and Yellow House.

With children's activities in a separate supervised area.

BACKGROUND:
Set up to raise awareness of arguably the two greatest threats that Humanity will face this century - war and global warming. Speakers will address these and other issues and stalls will provide further information and contacts.

Kai and Dave, does the T & G discourage its members from working on nuclear projects like power stations and submarines?

The union movement in general supports the workers in the nuclear sector and so it should. They are enabling you to sit at your computer typing in snide comments about the unions.
