Photos from the 23rd Green Fair in Sheffield

Chris | 28.06.2008 22:11 | Culture | Sheffield

There was a good turn out and it didn't rain, it was good.

I didn't get much of a chance to take many photos so lots of things didn't get snapped, like Access Space...

Green Fair and beyond

Agree with Chris. It was a good turnout and it didnt rain.
Only a £1 is a more than fair price to pay for this kind of goodgreen, progressive fayre...providing also decent quality food, lively and skilled entertainment, plenty of variety of craft, healing and campaigns stalls and so on and so on.
Well done to all the Greens and friends, particularly so Gareth.

In relation to the most important issues, threat of nuclear war on Iran....well, Sheffield CND were there...as per usual and Stop the War too.
On peak oil.....a good selection of eco - friendly innovations and projects were on show - plus GROW Sheffield and such.
I am particularly interested in hearing and seeing more about "towns in transition" - in particular, as a response to adverse effects of peak oil and global warming - urgent, vital, critical.

More of the same....and more publicity/involvement.

Thanks for the pics Chris! We would welcome feedback on the fair- what were the best bits? What should we do better next year? How can we persuade St Mary's not to sell bottled water?!
