Law-lord ruling to free Sean Kirtley? NETCU on the run

Armchair Lawyer | 24.06.2008 12:41 | Stop Sequani Animal Testing | Animal Liberation | Repression

Law Lords have ruled that it is illegal to have anonymous witnesses. A key component of the Sequani trial was the use of annoymous witnesses.

The law lords have ruled that it is illegal to have anonymous witnesses in a trial. Sean Kirtley was ent down due to the evidence of the gutless animal abusers who hid behind a screen. This made it almost impossible for the Defence. to argue gainst. the new ruling will mean that Sean's case could be appealed.

This is another blow to the bumbling NETCU. Over the last 3 years they have failed in their mission to defend the animal abusers. Liberations continue every week. NETCU have become a joke amongst other police units for their consistant bad, and sometimes illegal, advice.

Just heard some government fool on the radio announce they'll bring in primary legislation asap to allow for anonymous witnesses. They can't overturn what the law lords have decided in these cases, though...

I think you will find that it was a combanation of factual evidence in the form of phone records, internet records, photos, video and intelligence of him at the scene. The witnesses were just designed to demonise the activists involved, to create a look of bad'ens for the jury.

I doubt very much that an appeal will make any difference to his sentence at all and you could look at it another way, a retrial would mean that everyone would have to go through a trial with the witnesses having to give evidence because the police will be able to convince many to do so. Whats that going to look like? Not good.

Anyway what about the conspiracy theory that the state is out for the ARAs? In that case you are doombed.......
