amnesty international have stated that iraq and the kurdish territories are unsafe places for the purpose of deportation, but despite their report, gordon brown is still deporting iraqis in ever increasing numbers back to the war zone we helped create. just this week another 60 iraqis were rounded up and deported. amnesty international have documented cases of deportees meeting their deaths on return to iraq.

voicesuk did not seek authorisation from the police for this protest (as required under the socpa legislation) but mysteriously pc roger smith (who hangs around barbara tucker's many court appearances like a very bad smell) issued an email (see pics) claiming the police had received notification and were granting authorisation.

two greater london authority wardens handed out letters warning the 'campers' they were in breach of bye-laws, and lo and behold, pc roger smith turned up to witness a council officer checking that one of the protestors understood they were breaking the bye-laws.

as of tonight, the camp was allowed to go ahead and there have been no arrests or other developments.

Sunday morning.

There was no further GLA/police intervention and the camp packed up by noon, with the two GLA goons looking on. This morning there were 17 tents plus Gazebo and several people also attended who did not camp overnight. All in all a successful Parliament Square unauthorised 24 hour protest, despite the police attempt to impose their stamp of authorisation and SOCPA legitimacy upon it by using underhand methods. None of the demonstrators applied for police permission to exercise their human rights.
