A new Hunt Saboteurs group has been launched in West Yorkshire to combat local bloodsports using non-violent direct action to save the lives of animals.

A new Hunt Saboteurs group has been launched in West Yorkshire to combat local bloodsports using non-violent direct action to save the lives of animals.

The group was set up as a direct respose to the proposal and signing of a contract to begin shooting on the publicly owned Ilkley Moor; managed by Bradford City Council until their recent deal with the Bingley Moor Partnership to begin killing the grouse for 'sport'.

Other activities of the group include to monitor local hunts in the area when the season begins in September, and intervene where necessary. We are also currently planning meetings with the local police forces to discuss their actions to enforce the Hunting Act and bridge links in evidence gathering for prosecutions.

We also plan to begin a campaign, Dying for a Pint, to put pressure on pubs and hotels who are willing to host local hunts known for breaching the ban, and of course stop local shoots meeting at venues before going for a day's 'fun' killing wildlife.

Why not keep the label "sab" away from hunt monitor? Mix the two up and you are giving monitors a bad press IMHO...

Anywhay, isn't it about time Steele sorts his head out and stops flitting from one lost cause to another? Playing at campaign organiser now hunt sab organiser, bound to fail since everything he gets involved in attracks the wrong press and the police.

Well said indeed, Steele is a waste of time, he bounces from one campaign to another , he was focused at one time, around two years ago with the B and K campaign in particular. Nowadays he's a laughing stock spending more time changing his hair colour than getting out and hitting them where it hurts. So here's to another group going nowhere..

Why was my post deleted I wonder? Truth hurts mybe?

I will say again that I think that Steele is a waste of time jumping from one campaign to another messing everything up as he goes and he keeps/kept/lived with bad company, how much rubbed off I wonder...

Seems to get away with a hell of alot as well....
