Saturday 21st June 5pm - late, Leeds No Borders Summer BBQ and Party @ The Common Place Social Centre, Wharf Street, Leeds LS2 7EQ


EVERYONE welcome, including families, bring a dish to share, bring smiles, bring dancing shoes, bring instruments and music.

Music includes:

Zimbabwean drummers
Shinning levels (acoustic blues/folk)
The Monkey Wrenchers (spiky, stompy, folk, hillbilly)
Dancing Feet (ceilidh band)

Followed by jamming outside (please bring your instrument/voice!) and everyone is a DJ inside (bring 4 songs for your slot).

There will be veggie burgers and veggie sausages for a donation. Please only bring vegetarian food. NO MEAT.

Donation of £3 but if you can afford more please do, to help cover costs for those that can't and to raise money for important campaign work.

All money raised will help Leeds No Borders ability to campaign, educate the public and support asylum seekers. Leeds No Borders works in solidarity with asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Leeds and beyond. We are committed to practical solidarity, mutual aid and direct action in the fight against deportations, detentions, poverty and racism. We are part of a growing network rooted in the belief that all immigration controls are racist and divisive and should be opposed and, ultimately, abolished.

The Common Place is licensed as a private members club, so when the bar is open you must be a member (or the guest of a member) to come in. Please join BEFORE the event. You can pick up a form anytime The Common Place is open (on your right as you walk in) or print one off from the website (www.commonplace.org.uk). Fill it in and put it in the big wooden membership box with £2(or FREE if you are an asylum seeker).
