report of attack on mill rd social centre

At about half 1 this morning the mill rd social centre was attacked for the second time in a week. Thugs armed with an iron bar smashed windows and damaged vehicles in attempt to intimidate the occupants, then drove off. No Pasaran.

The van whose registration number was mentioned in the original report turned out to be not involved in the attack.

Glad everone's alright

I can't believe this happened - it is people's home as well as being a social centre, to randomly smash the windows of someone's home is pretty shocking - it must have been pretty scary for the people who were inside at the time! Glad everyone's alright.

The people who did this should really feel ashamed of themselves. If they have some problem with the social centre they can come talk to us about it any time, but to try and scare people like this is just stupid and pointless. Not to mention cowardly.

Well what do you expect....

...when people 'from both sides' promote and engage in such tit for tat vandalism! I agree this is a great shame and I think it will continue as long as both groups choose not to opt out of 'revenge' actions'.

disinfo?

"tit for tat vandalism"!?!?!

Me thinks this is disinformation. I have heard of no attacks committed by those living in the social centre, or using it. Who would they attack? Why? You make no sense.

Obvious

15.06.2008 13:15

Well as you let the local animal rights people use the centre as a base and they went and vandalised a local haulage company for doing business with the lab it not too difficult to work out that the same haulage company might have paid a couple of local lads to get their own back.

That's the problem with direct action sometimes peopple do it to you.

Not surprised

What did we say about letting that animal rights bunch use the centre ? Now you have the situation that many of us predicted, that the centre itself has become the focal point of the revenge
