In January a internet movement known as anonymous released a youtube video declaring war on The Church of Scientology, The war on Scientology started of using tactics such as Prank calls, Black faxing and DDoS attacks, The attacks up on Scientology where replaced by a set of peaceful protests, At every Scientology centre, Hundreds of black clothed, masked protesters turned up, Anonymous protested on February 2nd, march 15th, april 12th, may 10th, with success.

On may 12th Anonymous hit the headlines when a 15 year old boy was issued with a court summons for calling Scientology a cult, Civil rights groups and many others protested that this was an infringement of his freedom of speech, On the 23rd of may all chargers where dropped, and the London protesters where once again aloud to use the world cult.

In Scotland, Scientology has wrapped the police round its little finger. Multiply cases of police censoring Anonymous protesters, and asking them to remove the world cult, from all the signs, If protesters refuse they are told they will be charged with a "breach of the peace". On the 7th of June, a group of photographers, angered at the way Scientology uses cameras to harass critics, organised a flash mob, in Glasgow city centre, The group of around 15, turned up at 3pm and took photographs of the Scientologists "free stress tests" . 20 minutes later two police officers turned up, They asked the group to move on, When the organiser refused, they took him aside, and searched him under the "misuse of drugs act", This was not only unjustified, but a form of harassment.

There is a world wide protest by anonymous planed for the 14ths of june, the normal protest spot is hunters square, but the church of Scientology requested a permit for this spot & date before the protesters submitted there request, In a hope to stall the protest, the protesters but in yet an other permit but this was also declined and they are being forced to protest over 1 mile away from there normal spot, The reasoning behind this is "Having the two opposing sides so close together could be hassle", although the protesters have protested outside the Scientology's "church" for the last 4 months with no "hassle"

Personally, I think this is a horrible breach of civil rights, and has to be dealt with
