A brief report on the Merchants of Death Guided Tour the London arm of Campaign Against the Arms Trade carried out today
The London arm of Campaign Against the Arms Trade organised a Merchants of Death Guided Walk today. 10 people walked around 13 arms companies all across the centre of London, stopping at each one for a brief overview of what death and destruction each company is involved in (the companies and their locations can be viewed at http://platial.com/map/London-Arms-Trade/24406). Many leaflets were handed out and some passers-by took an interest in what we were doing. The only bad point was the police tail of 2 coppers.. The most ridiculous part was when one of the arms companies was 10 yards inside the SOCPA zone so we had to not hold up the sign we made and turn around the CAAT blanket one protester was wearing to hide the symbol. When cops are protecting arms companies from peaceful protesters you know something's really wrong about this world. But all in all, a good day.
