Newcastle activist has charges against him dropped, after singing an 'offensive song' on a demonstration in January

On the 19th January two Newcastle activists were arrested under section 5 of the public order act for singing that good ol' tune 'Harry Roberts is our friend' on an anti-racism demonstration. Although one of the activists was only made to pay a fine, the other was taken to court.
In the arresting officers statement the activists ae alleged to have sang 'Harry Roberts is our friend, he kills coppers', even though witness statements contradict this by asserting that the line 'he kills coppers' was never uttered. The activists are also alleged to have shouted 'this is shit, lets start a riot' - which again in accordance with witnesses was proven to be a complete lie, and that no such thing was ever said.
The court date was yesterday, and after an hour and a half the judge decided that the whole case brought about by the pigs was a complete joke, resulting in the activist being aquitted of all charges.
