In Leros, an Aegean island, more than 300 refugees and among them 121 children, mainly from Afghanistan, are held by the principles for more than a week.

Although the locals are helping them the police don’t let them leave the island and in the 14th of May they started a hunger strike. It is an emergency situation as this island wasn't of the ones that are used by refugees as entrance points and there is no infrastructure to support them.
