Thames Valley Police asking questions

Lynn Sawyer | 14.05.2008 16:01 | Animal Liberation | Repression

TVP came to Evesham today asking for information

I was walking home from the shops when I was stopped by 2 male CID who were concerned about "violence" in Oxford and wanted to ask me questions about a recent incident in which (so they said) a car was set on fire beside a house where a family were in residence. They wanted to know what other activists were saying. They displayed their warrant cards and stressed that I was not in any trouble. I replied that of course I knew nothing and was not prepared to talk to them and they followed me home saying that they were really nice people and demanding that I talk to them just for a few minutes. Once home I retrieved my video camera but alas they scarpered once they saw it so no amusing video footage folks!

First of all may I warn others that they might also be asked to be informants and harassed. It is a good idea to let other activists know as soon as possible if approached and questioned in this manner.

Secondly clearly they are desperate. Desparate people do desparate things such as frame activists and intern then. I also urge vigilance and an awareness that there might just be some more raids in the near future.

These bunch of tossers are always asking questions.
Very similiar to those people who ask you to participate in a survey for a catalogue, except you somehow have the right to refuse their request.
Pain in the ass really ,when given that little bit of authority it goes straight to their heads and out of their ears, well they have no brain do they lol.
