This is an Arts and Media announcement. The Net has increased
participation in discussion on Independent publication and on
arts Writing. Mostly the sites are small and self-managed by
Volunteers. But they are good- I suppouse this article is
skewed toward those interested in irish Literature.

In the Last couple of days a new site was launched in Northern Ireland:
http://www.nirelandpoetry.proboards57.com
It's dedicated to discussion on Poetry and gigs listings.
A few contributors to: http://www.poetryireland.ie/forum have sent welcome
messages and joined the group discussions.
The Poetry Ireland Site has won design prizes and is completely dedicated
to poetry and Literature, with reviews, listings, books and blogs.
It's an excellent resource for those interested in finding out more about
current (and Past) Irish literature.
There is quite a traffic on both sites and discussions include putting the
head in the Lion's Mouth to have 'Peer review' of writing, once ye have been
through that particular experience-the rest is easy enough.
There is a members only area for the review and criticism of current
poetry, but it's easy enough to become a member (fill in the form,
send a poem).
For those travelling to ireland and interested in everything from open mic
to formal readings, gigs and celebrations ..the services available on
both sites are pretty excellent.
