I must have misunderstood, the police cant reclassify a substance as they have no law making powers, they are a crown sworn agency and are therefor can only advise and do so through ACPO (who have never listened to rank and file ever).

As I understood it, the home secretary has the power for a re class and does so with the advice of the law lords in the name of the government.

As Indymedia's tight guidelines forbid opinion ("Non-news: posts which are clearly purely comment, opinion or rants unrelated to a recent event or action etc.") I am not going to add add a personal opinion to this post.

Kelly 'wet-op'

I'm not going to provide links, but the Times and the Telegraph today have Cherie Blairs account of how upset Tony was when he killed David Kelly five years ago.

Either Kelly was murdered, as seems increasingly likely ( what suicide wipes their fingerprints from the knife ?) or the affair is just as it seems. Kelly was sacrificed to the press-pack during a game of 20 questions initiated by Blair.

Still, it wasn't the first of last murder Cheries 'good man' committed. Being so 'good', doubtless he eschews the lecture circuit and jet-set lifestyle, making ammends and giving all his money away to charity. Somewhere there is a lampost with Cheries name on it.
