Some people in Bristol, which is in the south west of the United Kingdom have today campaigned for greater human rights in two separate ways in the separate ways.

Firstly, several people were in the Redland Green park raising awareness of the poor human rights record in China, which is due to host the 2008 Olympics. The people were there because of the busy Redland Green Fair which took place today.

They were questioning the fact that China was given the olympics, despite it being having one of the worst human rights records in the world. It has been reported in the press recently that China is responsible for more state governed executions than the level of executions in all other countries combined.

There have been many other protests across the United Kingdom and the world. This is partly because of the recent violence against protestors in Tibet, in addition to the upcoming olympic games.

In addition to the above people from Amnesty International were promoting Human Rights worldwide. Both the events appeared to attract a reasonable amount of support from the passing public.
