Following a protest by over 200 detainees at Harmondsworth immigration prison
around 30 people turned up last Wednesday at the anonymous looking headquarters of Kalyx/ Sodexo, the company that runs the prison, in Edgware Road (just in front of the tune station). The picket included No Borders, SOAS detainee support group, All Africa Women Group, Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!, some Anarchists, other anti-racists, Campaign Against Criminalising Communities and other groups and individuals active in defending human rights and civil liberties. Banners were displayed and 400+ leaflets were distributed.
The detainees protest and hunger strike was brutally repressed, many of the detainees have been moved to ordinary prisons.
