Hazel Patten | 09.04.2008 17:15 | Climate Camp 2007 | Climate Chaos | Education | London

The weekend of the 19th to 20th April will see two national student climate gatherings take place at the London Action Resource Centre. The first for Climate Camp, and the second for the Student Climate Project. Please forward this message far and wide and persuade all to come along. You don't have to be a student, and crash space is available!

Saturday 19th April
National Student Climate Camp Gathering @ London Action Resource Centre (www.londonarc.org)

11am-4pm: National Climate Camp Student Meeting. Hosted by the networking group for the Camp for Climate Action. This meeting is a chance to discuss how we can get as many students as possible to come to this year’s camp at Kingsnorth power station. All welcome, whether students or not.

Email agenda items to process[at]climatecamp.org.uk asap

Sunday 20th April
Student Climate Project planning gathering @ London Action Resource Centre (www.londonarc.org)

10am-4pm: The Student Climate Project came out of the Heathrow Climate Camp, and has since been developing projects that aim to inspire the wider body of students to get involved in radical climate action. We are now at the stage where we are ready to put many of these exciting projects into action, but we need loads more people to do this. We are also welcome to new project ideas.

The Student Climate Project is a chance to play a part in building a mass student movement against climate change. We run through consensus decision making and are non-hierarchical, meaning everyone gets a chance to contribute equally and fairly.

CRASH SPACE IS AVAILABLE ON BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT FOR THE GATHERINGS. IF YOU ARE ARRIVING ON FRIDAY NIGHT PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE SO WE CAN GIVE YOU DETAILS OF WHERE TO GO.
