1216 Records announces the second volume in it's EMERGE Compilation Series. In conjunction with Catalyst Distribution and Catalyst Promotion, the label will release and distribute this CD in a collective promotion service for the independent artists featured. Seasoned independent artist and producer Mista White (
http://www.mistawhite.org) will Executive Produce and mix the Compilation.
1216 is now accepting submissions from artists interested in this promotional compilation. Any style of music is accepted, and artists must not be signed to a record label. Artists who run their own label, and otherwise unsigned artists will fill the ranks of this release.
The scope of this compilation is more than a mere musical release. It will be a promotional effort to further assist independent artists in their promotion. This would be ideal for new artists, artists supporting a release of their own, and touring artists. "We are seeking really innovative song writers, experimental production, or solid music of any style. What we want is an amazing grouping of talent, so that the end result will collectively help all involved." - Mista White, Executive Producer.
1216 will make official invitations to those selected to be involved, and once secured, there is a small fee. Features and services will include:
1. --25 copies of the compilation for each artist
2. --Compilation sent to 250 radio stations around the country
3. --100 copies will go for review submissions
4. --extensive online marketing/promotion
5. --Full page ad in a popular music magazine (TBD)
6. --artists will also be able to send copies of their own release(s) to the radio stations along with the compilation for a small additional fee.
Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2008, and expected release date is August 26, 2008. More information, submission guidelines, important dates, and forms can be obtained at http://www.1216records.com.
