Olympic Torch Chased off the Streets, pics from Fleet Street

riotact | 06.04.2008 18:30 | London

Thousands of people decended on the Olympic Torch Procession today leaving bungling coppers forced to bundle the torch (which had gone out) onto a bus.

An angry but peaceful crowd forced the police to retreat on Fleet Street and the flame made the journey to Tower Bridge by bus.

Meanwhile heated debate, if not scuffles, almost broke out at Canary Whalf between Free Tibet protesters and Chinese students.

Fair play to all those who have risked their freedom to send a message back to China.

Fabulous

Celebration of Chinese mass murdering regime messed

What a great job was carried out by those brave individuals against the Munich Olympics-type grandstanding of the Evil Regime which represents a nation that has long been a laboratory state for the New World Order
We must shame and defeat these controlling elements who aim to take control of the planet with Chinese socialism type controls - birth limitations, detention of dissidents, Falun Gong, striking workers - their tissue typing for organ harvesting for the rich and multiple executions
London can stand proud that these unutterable monsters have had their little show exposed and disrupted and the sight of the coppers on bikes and running and the rough handling of legitimate protestors
By the time of the next Olympics we can expect the installation of a global society ressembling China's tyrrany to be near completion
Appropriate that these images have been shown around the world

Put the torch Out!

06.04.2008 22:33

We made a good protest in London today but we could have done better - the torch could be put out, all you need is a bucket of water, or a super soaker! We were definitely close enough to have done it today. Juvenile maybe, but I think it would make a great spectacle, & media spectacle is what this is all about.

How can I get this kind of obvious message across to activists in Paris & beyond?

Is its desperate attempts to control its population. Nothing threatens earth more than over-population with its concomittant resource plundering. We must have a world-wide policy of one or none if earth is to survive humans. Everything else, china bad obviously.
