Brown's Cannabis Outrage
The Prime Minister seems to have ambitions on become President, according to some members of the Legalise Cannabis Alliance (LCA).
"We are that are outraged over news that Gordon Brown intends to ignore the advice of his own Government-appointed team of experts," said Alun Buffry, a spokesperson for the LCA.
"The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) have once again looked into the issue of the classification of cannabis at the request of the Government and have once again confirmed it's place as a class C drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act."
"We are appalled that news surfaced that Brown intends to upgrade cannabis back to class B, which is where it was when all the problems started, despite having no experience of cannabis himself and contrary to the leaked recommendations of the ACMD.
"The issue of drug classifications ought to be left to the decision of the experts set up to look into it, not vote-seeking politicians.
"Why on earth do we the taxpayer have to pay for Committee's of experts if the Prime Minister never intended to heed their advice if it did not suit him?
"Why does he intend to continue to spend billions of pounds annually on a prohibition stance that we all know has failed and will always fail, whilst walking all over our Rights and Freedoms?
"This sort of Tyranny was precisely why Human rights legislation was passed - we have a Right to a Private Life, to our individual beliefs and practices and to the protection of the law. The law that sends police into private homes looking to bust people for no reason other than the law itself - is in fact illegal.
"It is time that somebody seriously looked into the question of the legality of cannabis prohibition itself".

The argument they put forth that superskunk is sooo strong to justify reclassification is nonsense.
It would be the same as saying that someone who doesn't find a pint of beer will drink a pint of Gin instead.
You just drink or smoke less of it in fact.
Cannabis under all its forms should be totally decriminalised.
There are many very good reasons for it, not the least the fact that decriminalisation would take away a quite huge source revenues from the organised criminals who run most of the trade.
skunk
unfortunately ...

Their oil, fabrics, animal & human food producers, petrochemicals and paper manufacturers don't lke the idea of a cannabis economy either.
Plus, the mostly forgotten spiritual dimension to 'illuminating' your brain is a no no for the control freaks selling our and our childrens future down the paddle-less creek that is global monopoly capitalism.
Smoke it any way.
