The leader of the fascist British National Party is due to speak in Leeds.

The Middleton Arms

Nick Griffin, leader of the fascist British National Party, is to speak in Leeds on April 15th. The venue for the event is a regular BNP venue, The Middleton Arms, Middleton Park Road, Leeds, LS10 3SA (Tel-0113 277 7827.) The pub are fully aware of the nature of the event, and in fact recently hosted a BNP meeting at which Richard Barnbrook spoke. Despite attacks on the building by local antifascists, The Middleton Arms is now the BNP's preferred venue in south Leeds. They are allowed to do their own security there, sell racist litreature, and are generally welcomed by the landlord.

We call upon all local antifascists to do all they can to prevent Nick Griffin and the BNP spreading their racist poison in Leeds, and to put out of business venues like The Middleton Arms, which are happy to provide a platform to fascists.

As one would expect from the “wannabe gangsters” on the fringes of the Labour Party they are now bragging on the Internet how they, at dead of night, crept forth and vandalised a number of city pubs that have previously hosted BNP meetings - before disappearing back to their rat holes - fearful of being apprehended. The cowardice of the far-left is, of course, legendary and this sort of crass behaviour is exactly what one would expect of these gutless invertebrates. However this, just the latest attack on working people in Leeds by these, in the main, middle-class wannabe “revolutionary gangsters”, is exactly what we expect as support for the corrupt Labour regime crumbles and their supporters attempt to shore it up.

We can expect more of this kind of violent and undemocratic behaviour from these people for that I am afraid is the nature of the beast. In fact just a few days ago Labour supporters were trying to break up a BNP branch meeting in Bristol and were even trying to use the local press to find the venue.
