Noam Chomsky says that much of what we see going on in the world makes sense if you are the owners of the world and want to create war.

So, people or... leaders: DO you want to be the owners of the world or cause war?

Then how can you say you make sense if you are not addressing every aspect of how to not be the owners of the world and the makers of war?

And why doesn't Chomsky ever tell us what to do?

What are the odds or the significance that oil is at 100 dollars a barrel, gold is at 1000 dollars an ounce and one Euro is nearing two dollars? In a year it may be oil $200, gold $2000 and one Euro to two dollars (or three!) There is the obvious pattern here of the Empire apparently hurting, but this is the fatal mistake that so many make - now and throughout history. When a tiger or an enemy is down or weak, it is often a time when he will hit you the hardest, throwing it all into the fray and risking and doing things unheard of.... And besides the "wounded" tiger has been faking all along and leading us all into this trap we now face: Death or Slavery.

Dear Americans,

You expect people around the world not to hate you. But don't you wonder how they feel? For many decades in the 1800's and early 1900s the British or the French or sometimes the Spanish or the Germans controlled and killed them. Boundaries were drawn that continue to kill. Then in the 1920's until the 1950s, the Italians, Germans and Russians came at them to interfere and to kill (see footnote to airpower and terror (British and Attaturk too)). Some borders were changed or combined. Then came oil and the Americans, on top of all the others, and all of the suffering. All of these colonial powers and the newcomers continued to support their local factions and to operate intelligence services that committed or trained others to commit atrocities.


Imagine that you are a Moroccan, a Kurd or an Algerian (or a Moslem in one of the 20 or 30 countries where they are majority). The Moroccan knows that for 800 years his family lived in Andalus (now post-Fascist Spain) and its art, craftsmanship and civilization flourished. The Algerian may share these memories and those of the French colonization, the first Algerian War and then the second Algerian War (ongoing!) that started when the leftist-Algerian Liberation government self-corrupted and then frauded the elections and the West did nothing.
A second front in the North African wars of colonization, liberation and re-Islamization continues on in the slums of Paris and soon all of Europe.

Or the Kurds? What do you know of this nation of 25 million that has no country? What a tragedy! A tragedy of ignorance, colonialism and US Foreign Chaos-Policy. From the Ottomans to the Republic of Ararat to the gas attacks aided by US-EU, to betrayal by Bush Sr., to Bush jr's rescue and now, with the US supplying satellite and other intelligence to kill Kurds in Iraq.

Kurds remember Saladin and their glory and their mountains. They remember the British and the West letting the Turks ignore treaties and slaughter them. They are still living the terror that the US puppet-of-the-time, Saddam Hussein, unleashed on them and then now the invasions of Iraq by Turkey with US permission and aid.

Forget their religion and their leaders, after all of these years and centuries of atrocities, how do the people feel? What do they think of America, of the people who live in America?

Polls shows rising global hatred of the US government and its policies, but polls may have a hard time capturing people's feelings, fears and subconscious makeup.

Most people surely see the ugly crass world of the modern that the US tries to force on them. And they know that Cairo, Damascus, Istanbul and Tehran were highly developed civilizations a thousand years ago when Europe was barbarian tribes.

How does this make you feel, can you imagine? Can you understand what they must feel, knowing all that has happened and now the same invaders and corrupters have their armies in Islamic lands and aimed at Islam itself. They erased Islam from Spain and proceeded to install puppet and sacrilegious western-styled governments throughout Islamic regions. Now the West wants to erase the presence - if possible the memory - of Islam everywhere and for all time. Infinite Justice indeed.

Would you trade anything for a Wal-Mart job/life/value system? Oh right, I forgot, you already have.

NONSENSE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND

It's only the last song, if we let it be... They don't know us!

For years I have tried to find a person, group, writer, discipline, religion or ideology that makes sense or wants to make sense. In the West, I can faithfully conclude that this is impossible. No one wants to make sense, no one cares.

It is hard to explain this to people even though, if you go down the list, most people agree that most of the things on the list do not make sense. Part of the problem is that many of these things do make sense, at least if you are trying to create Evil, trying to kill a lot of people and maybe most life on the planet. Many of them also make sense if you are the most powerful country and you are trying to continue your domination and power. But then why wouldn't more people notice this and resist? That doesn't make sense! Can we only make sense of nonsense with more nonsense?

I hope that some of you have noticed the common flaw in this reasoning so far. One has to define "Making Sense" in order to judge it. And this points out the most nonsensical thing in the world: nothing is defined!

Of course everything depends on your criteria for making sense; on your goals; strategy, etc... But I have found that no one can define these things either.
That does not make sense?
Does it?

Middle Class Existence and the existence of a Middle class; President Mushareff and the CIA disappeared 4000 Pakistanis since 2002; Economic Growth; Global Warming Discussions; Academic Specialization to the Point of Lack of Vision or Coherence; Private Cars; Nuclear Power, Grotesque Global Poverty amid grotesque wealth; The Doom/Apathy feeling so common; Environmentalists unable to think holistically, the Behavior of the US (& It's Foreign Policy) for the last 70 years; Freedom, Democracy, Love, Christianity (God's Son walking on Earth!); Israel; Ataturk/Secular Turkey; Condemnation of Saddam Hussein without Condemnation of US support to him!; Kurds believing anything the US - especially Bush/Wolfowitz say; It's up to a few people to make a lot of noise; Hyper - Capitalism has replaced market-based capitalism; The Hyper-Real has replaced the Real; The Daily Mass Murder, Genocide (usually based in Colonialism and mostly UK-culpable); The starvation, Child and sex slavery and the Arms Commerce (all dominated by the US, UK, Russia and China); People think that they know a lot, that they are informed or wise, when they are more like spoiled and stubborn three or four-year-old arrogant children or worse...; People mis-understand their own ideology, the purpose of ideology and the consequences of their efforts to mess with other people's ideology/religion/beliefs/ cultures/ values; People think that their parents, church or college experience has given them a methodology for judging or understanding things/the world. They are fatally wrong. They are not intelligent or useful to the future; People think that they understand at least the issues affecting the world... They assume this and rarely question whether they have prioritized or structured their analysis right; Study the world enough and you will come to hate the USA; Feel the world's suffering enough and you may chose to die for this hate; Remarkably, many have waited these last 20 years for the US or the US movement for change to catch up to where most people in the world already start from: That the Rich and the US Capitalists/Imperialism are evil. A related fact is that Europe acts as if it is so much better than the US, and US lefties point to Europe as an example to aim for - but that could never be achieved in the US (politically or economically. Any major tinkering with the US economic structure will cause collapse of capitalism worldwide! If the whole world consumed at European levels, global warming would choke life off of the planet in a few years; People imagine that they can spend their way to a better world by purchasing "green" houses, cars and food. But where does their money come from?; Time almost never intelligently enters into people's conscious thinking - even though the understanding of time and thus the ability to plan is the hallmark of being human! The WWW WEB is a perfect example of the ultimate goal of Liberalism or even of an anarchist lifestyle-politics in a modern world DIY - DO OWN THING _ if ya don't "hurt" others. The web is half hate or porn-based; it's a quarter lies, spam and advertising; and an eighth violent games and violent or pointless movies, vids, babble. What's left and how would you find it? ISLAMO-FASCISM; Bombing people into democracy; GW Bush's second election; That Al Gore Didn't Fight his Loss; That John Kerry barely fought his loss; The US spends more on its military, prisons, wars, drug wars, drugs, (and maybe health care) than the rest of the world combined;

Israel (well, it is a highly useful member of the US Empire - like a large dry aircraft carrier and nuclear staging ground} ; The next war will be a neutron bomb war; All of the world's problems get worse the more money there is; Energy Use; Coal Mining; GMOs; WTO; Cell phones; Commuting; The Rich privatize your time, space and environment; Conversion of public space to private profit; Destruction of public goods; SUVs; ESA (Endangered Species Act -US); US Elections; Single Issue Campaigns; The UN; Corporations; Speed; Two percent of the world’s adults have 50 percent of the wealth; The bottom 50 percent of the world’s adults has ONE (!) PERCENT OF THE WORLD”S WEALTH. No one can tell me something that makes sense that does not lead to evil! There has never been a book written in the history of the West that does not lead to evil!



Throughout all of this, the most bizarre part is the mystery of how the rich and liberals get away with or go along with all of this without debate, defense, analysis or challenge. Can you explain this impossibility? Is it the utter failure of the radicals to say something meaningful, is it the final stages of media domination, brainwashing or hopelessness? The clincher is that all of these problems are increasing and will continue to. Everyday the world makes less sense. Noam Chomsky says that all of this makes sense if you own the world and do not care what anyone thinks! Is that evil? What do you do about evil? What do you do if a pervert is raping your mother in front of you?


The actual list of things that are impossible, do not make sense or are plain crazy is probably over 400 pages-- Wow...

In the West making sense means creating evil…


Please offer counter-arguments and critiques. In 20 years of mentioning this line of reasoning, I have never received a good or intelligent answer from the hundreds of people I have asked.

I am an environmentalists, but not like any other environmentalist that I know of. I thought that a serious movement for protecting the environment would have a global view and a long-term perspective – yet there is none of that in any of the so-called environmental groups that I have worked with or read of. This includes groups that consider themselves radical or deep or spiritual…


I BELIEVE:

I believe that:

1. Expressing our beliefs, our fears and our ideas of utopia - or how to get to a better world - are the most important things in determining the future of the planet in the next 20 years.

2. I believe that if good people do not win THAT! struggle against lies, greed and ignorance, then there will not be a planet soon – or else there will not be a humanity.

3. I believe that almost no one will do this: Try hard to explain where hope lies and how to approach the problems of our future. In fact, I believe that almost no one has ever done this – expressed themselves well – in all of modern history!

4. I believe that to love something is to study it; learn from and about it; explore its nature and limits; and assure its survival/happiness/and self-expression.

5. This suggests that almost no one has ever loved and that, incredibly, few people actually love the world, themselves or anything. One need not be an intellectual to learn quite a lot, but where is the evidence of real learning, of understanding, or of a knowledge - or an approach to learning - that is relevant to the problems of the world?

6. I believe that vanity – worshipping your self – is the root of all evil (as do many religious authorities), for gluttony and greed can only come from extreme self-importance – one that is associated with a narrow and destructively childish mentality. Gandhi argued from a different perspective that Wealth without Work and Pleasure without Conscience were the greatest sins, with Knowledge without Character and Politics without Principle close behind in sinfulness.

7. I believe that the emotional development of most Americans fluctuates wildly at between 2 and 5 years of age. (See: Paul Shepard, Richard Wrangham, and Cal Simone; Sept. 11th analyzed in Jungian terms, September 13, 2006: ).


8. I believe that the emotional maturation of Europeans and the other supposed developed or educated people of the world fluctuates slowly and erratically between 5 and 10 years old.


9. I believe that for those who consider themselves to be “Mature” not to recognize and address this catastrophe of childish maniacs running the world is to suggest that these “Smart” people are very sick and disturbed or not so smart!


10. I believe that Conservatives are less hypocritical (and less delusional) than Liberals (in the USA especially!). This says nothing about their respective (or claimed) intentions or “righteousness.”


11. The Conservatives act rationally – the Liberals are irrational. This seems to be because Liberals are hypocrites and their methods could never achieve their goals. The Greens are the most extreme Liberals. Greens make the least sense, even though they have the "best" ideas. Their methods of change will take far too long to accomplish their goals given the nature of the multiple crises that humanity faces. And so their lies are the most evil!


12. I believe that:

Any one of the major crises assaulting the earth will cause incomprehensible levels of suffering, death and change for all life. That the Anglo-Americans are overwhelmingly responsible for these problems and they are responsible for the deaths of 30 to 50 million people each year – and responsible for the sufferings of 100s of millions and soon billions of innocent people – every day for the rest of existence.
That everyone appears to be a fundamentalist, as faith has replaced reason in all camps.
That the totality of all the observations listed here – like the totality of crises afflicting the earth and humanity – are ignored by almost everyone on the planet.

13. I believe that Gandhi would today be a terrorist – and also much more – as is many a terrorist.


Two percent of the world’s adults have 50 percent of the wealth.

The bottom 50 percent of the world’s adults have ONE (!) PERCENT OF THE WORLD”S WEALTH.


Is this not a design – a prescription - for Evil?

How can we change this soon enough to matter?

Who has described a program to effect such changes?


I believe that blame lies squarely at the altar of the USA. This monstrosity leads the West, spends more on defense than the rest of the world and is THE MODEL of waste and senseless growth that is killing the planet and soon most of the people. So, the people of the USA and their allies must radically change their government or accept the infinite blame and apocalyptic retribution that waits.


Are Notes or References necessary in a world where everyone can see

A Mellow and Casual Introduction to the Fascism You Call Democracy

We should examine and probably recreate the way that we approach the world around us.
There has always been evil in the world. Definitions and understanding of evil change over time.
Only recently have some of us begun to know and understand enough to make decisions and judgments about the world and our place in it - in the struggle to define, control or defeat evil.

How tragic, but probably to be expected, that just as enough average people begin to question and figure things out that the world becomes so complex and the evil is so integrated into every aspect of our world and our identities, that our knowledge only makes us tear our hair out or retreat into ignorance, carelessness, Evil.
Greed, avarice, hoarding, theft, murder.... are the usual sins. Gandhi's formulation is more real.

What Makes Sense? How Would We Know It?
1. Money?
Everyone, all six billion people, are being taught that more money for everything is good. Wealth is the goal. We all need and deserve more food, cleaner food, more water, cleaner water, more energy, things for children, schools, doctors, medicine, counseling, internet, cell phones, cars, cleaner cars, mass transit, security, public parks, and vacations! Oh, and according to my newspaper in the USA we need more money for lost dog kennels, dog parks, and reversing cosmetic surgery. It's all good, right?

Where does money come from? It doesn't grow on trees, it comes from cutting down trees, and mountains and people and whales. In the US almost all of the money is intimately connected to destroying the environment, occupying other countries, unfair trade, borrowing against the future and through extortion of other countries. You might think that since you are a hairdresser that you are just providing a service. While this is understandable, yet reprehensible since it serves the whims of the rich and wanna be rich, the money to pay your salary comes from these rich or workers who toil for big corporations, the government or the military complex.
Follow the money... then imagine how billons of more people could mange
this evil con game. Then imagine what would happen to the planet if they were successful!
If…If… if

The evil of the US Middle Class - a middle class as a model - or a middle class anywhere, is apparent from above. If we cannot all be middle class then who chooses? The market? The market controlled by the rich countries and the rich people? That's absurd and yet all of these bizarre notions are built into your thinking and your view of the world and what is good and what is evil.

So, as we all revel in our glorious pursuit of happiness, an orgy of consumption, war, obsessions and ecological destruction, let us thank B. OBAMA for promising us painless change where we all get more.

Make those demands everyone, get what you can. Cut in front of the line and take it alllllll (allah?)
