They can also be made aware that Camden Animal Rights are fighting FOR Camden in stopping a dangerous lab being built on a Camden council estate. You never know...we might even end up on the same side....No-one was hurt, it's over.

I'll agree with that. As controversial as it sounds....Dr Jerry Vlasak spent many years as a vivisecter before changing sides and joining SHAC.
If the people who had concerns about what was to take place in Camden wish to change their minds and change sides...then that's absolutley fine with me.
I can assure the people of Camden, I live here....that we in Camden {most of us...} are on the same side in stopping this atrocious lab from destroying Camden and in particular the Somers Town estate. The lab will turn the estate and much of Camden itself into a fortress saturated with twitchy armed police and security services personnel here forever. While the fight against the lab might last months...the lab will change Camden permanently....
The area needs council homes and community facilities....not a hyper lab {the world largest ever, highest level virus containment facility and animal testing lab}. Building such a facility on a council house estate is outrageous!! How DARE they?!
We will NOT stand for this. It is rumoured that senior council members were in secret talks with the consortium behind the lab...in particular Keith Moffitt {Camden New Journal}. Have they not destroyed enough of Camden already? {Stables Market etc} ....
In doing so they have completly disregarded what the people of Camden want and need. the talks allegedly took place YEARS ago....yet the people of Camden were only given a few weeks notice before the sale went ahead. We DEMAND that Camden council carries out a compulsory purchase order on the land and uses it for council homes and community facilities in keeping with the planning brief.

When I say change sides I mean for them to change their minds. The people who threatened to sell info / inform will not be allowed near the campaign or anyone on it. Neither will we allow anyone who was threatening women near any of our female campaigners obviously. I hope that clears that up. I can't / won't give details on any of these people to anyone else as it has all stopped and needs go no further.
One of these guys {not an informer} was simply being community minded and was worried that a "Newchurch" scenario would be brought to Camden . We can assure you that this will not happen. Newchurch and Camden are very different and we are wholeheartedly WITH the community of Camden and most of us campaigning live here within it. I respect that this guy was just protecting his area and we now get on fine. x

The notorious Camden "Super Virus Lab" has yet to recieve planning permission.

The lab will be a high level {3} virus containment facility and animal testing lab due to be built on a Camden council estate {Somers Town} alongside St Pancras Eurostar behind the British Library.

Level 3 means that it could contain Bird Flu {transmittable to humans}, anthrax etc. Foot and Mouth disease was leaked from government facility Pirbright in Surrey. Imagine a simikar leak so close to Kings Cross and the Channel Tunnel...

There are also plans for a second similar lab on the Regents Park estate, on Hampstead Road.

There are many reasons to oppose planning permission for this lab. Emissions of pathogens. Protests by angry locals and animal rights activists, the threat to local people from armed police, particularly following the sniper attacks on the Guardian's offices from a nearby council estate also in Kings Cross, the need for council homes and community facilities, the fact the lab goes against the council's own planning brief that calls for 50% housing, the fact that the Margarete Centre could close to make for the second lab leaving Camden's 4,200 class A drug addicts without help and the building of the lab itself with heavy traffic and machinery. Hazardous tissue will be transported through the congested area on adaily basis putting EVERYBODY at risk.
