This Nano-Virtual-Sit-In is being performed on the 5th anniversary of the war on Iraq. We have chosen biotech and nanotech corporations and organizations as our targets, because their science is driven by the war and drives the war.

I do hope you're not proposing to start blaiming all nanotech companies for the events in Iraq. If you do, you're going to find yourselves picketing people who make fridge door magnets and computer hard drives/RAM.

Nanotechnology is also responsible for techniques to regrow skin using scaffold bandages.

why don't you do something rather than reading this...

MonkeyBot, I don't think you're interested in reading up on nanotech, or having an open mind, rather commenting on every thread on indymedia & having an open mouth, so go answer it yourself rather than me spending the time delivering you the info on a plate!

Not a great idea

All these technologies are dual use, as are nearly all technologies, and it is simply the nature of capitalism that militarism drives technological development, and that all corporations treat the military as just another market. There's no point protesting tech itself, but rather its weaponisation by arms manufacturers. Also, the very old and low-tech OIL is the technology which is genocidal in both its military and civilian uses, and which everyone knows is the true motive and power behind the war. Focus your attacks on OIL companies, consumers and ARMS manufacturers, don't dilute your critique by making it broad and unfocussed.
