The current wave of antisemitic attacks in France is reaching new heights with Jews reporting that many parts of the city are now No-Go areas for Jews. the most recent attack was Sunday in the Paris suburb of Bagneux when a 19 year old Jewish student by six Muslim men who attacked with kicks and punches before writing "Dirty Jew" on his forehead
Police reports indicate the victim was held the victim for about nine hours, they taunted him for being Jewish, and said he was gay. They allegedly forced him to eat cigarette butts and scrawled anti-Semitic and anti-homosexual insults on his forehead.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered slight injuries.
The alleged attackers have been detained and investigators filed preliminary charges against them. The preliminary charges include committing "acts of torture or barbarism" and "kidnapping by a gang," the judicial officials said.
the Jewish community in Paris is asking for increased Police commitment to protecting them as they claim the Police are often unwilling to clasify these attacks as motivated by antisemitism despite the evidence. Students will this weekend march in Paris in protest against the rise in antisemitism in France.
