Sneinton Alchemy is a project that aims to provide a forum for local residents, community groups and businesses to discuss the future of Sneinton - economically, socially and environmentally. This week the group meets to discuss the future of the Victoria Leisure Centre, and make plans for the Sneinton festival.

Wendy, chair of Sneinton Alchemy wrote, "The Sneinton Festival Committee 2008 will be coming to the meeting to let everyone know the latest; if anyone would like to join the Festival Group that would be great! There are still a few days left to apply for the Festival Coordinator Post – if anyone is interested please let me know and we will email you the details."

"But nothing would be complete this month without a discussion of the Campaign to oppose the closure of Victoria Leisure Centre. More than 300 people marched from the Square on March 1st to make their feelings known and many, many letters have been sent to the Council. The campaign has been like a well oiled machine. How does this affect the Market Consultation and what is next?"

The March meeting of Sneinton Alchemy will be this Thursday, March 13th at Greenway Community Centre, Trent Lane. Food and drinks will be available at 6pm and the meeting will start at 6.30.
