Raids in York - 2 arrests

Just recived a 'phone call. Looks like 2 Yafa leaders have been arrrested for the campaign against the Blue Bicycle.

Hope this isn't another roundup.

YAFA were raided on trumped-up allegations - it was a fishing expedition to sieze computers and mobile phones.

At 07.00 am doors were kicked in and a search warrant was produced - this was a political action by the police and although there are minor allegations - no criminal offences have been commited.

Perhaps it was only a matter of time before this happened, YAFA have been too successful to be left alone, but anyone that thinks that we are living in a democracy is living under an illusion - free speech and the right to peaceful protest is a joke.

More details will be posted when the dust settles, but be under no illusions the police have acted politically rather than investigating crime.

I'm hearing that a female activist was dragged naked from her bed by male plod who sat on her while she was read her rights etc, perverts, absolute fucking perverts......no female officer present ! surely this cannot be right !

It just doesn't seem right - when your house gets burgled and the police have no manpower to get to you to sort it out, and then as soon as then animal rights people want to give out leaflets suddendly there are hundreds of coppers available!

To be honest I have never had foie gras and from what I have read it should be banned and made illegal - fair play to the campaigners.

Coppers are paid for by US to investigate crime, not to bust some student hippys.

well done YAFA, I have seen your website - wish I could have done that when I was your age.
