Stop the War: Film Show
John Shemeld | 28.02.2008 17:02
The Nottingham Stop the War Coalition is screening two short documentary films in Nottingham Trent University's Chaucer Lecture Theatre (fitted with a big screen and projection equipment) at 7:00pm on Wednesday, 5 March.
The first one is on the build up to, and events on the world record breaking (it's official - it's in the Guinness Book of Records) demonstration of 15 February 2003.
The second is on the school students' strikes when Iraq was attacked in March 2003.
There will be an introduction from Chris Nineham, a national officer of the Stop the War Coalition, and there will be time for discussion.
Of course, the horrors of Iraq and Afghanistan are still going on and, besides remembering the start of the Iraq mess five years ago, we also need to let Bush and Brown know that we have not gone away.
Tickets will be on sale for the coaches down to the World Against War demonstration in London on Saturday, 15 March 2008.
The Chaucer Lecture Theatre is right by the Nottingham Trent University tram stop in Goldsmiths Street in the centre of Nottingham.
