The meeting was great with representatives from all the major political parties as well as environmental groups condemning plans for further Heathrow expansion. It was explained at the rally that at least two million people will be affected if a new runway at Heathrow is build due to increased noise, pollution and traffic congestion. It was also stated that major roads near the airport will be unable to cope with the increased amount of traffic a new runway would generate.

People were also told how BAA has lied over the years about its expansion plans ever since the fourth terminal was built, each time stating that the latest expansion would be the very last.

A mass demonstration is now planned for near Heathrow airport on Saturday the 10th of March. More details will follow sooner the time.
