Thousands of Kosovo Albanian refugees cleberate Kosovo Independence in London
Reporter | 17.02.2008 22:16 | Migration | London
Remember back 9 years to 1999 and the war over Kosovo when thousands of Kosovan refugees fled to Britain. Well today in anticipation of impending Kosovo to be anounced independence tommorrow thousands of them took to the streets of central London and rallied in Trafalgar Square to celebrate.
They carried the red double headed eagle Albanian flag and many also carried British and American flags too. I spoke to a few in Trafalgar Square and they said they were grateful to NATO countries for helping their country achieve liberation. Others said the planned to return to their native Kosovo after nine years of exile in the UK.

"Independent Kosovo", a Territory under US-NATO Military Rule

The NATO occupation of Kosovo responds to US foreign policy objectives. It secures a heavily militarized US zone of influence in Southern Europe. It ensures the militarization of strategic pipeline routes and transport corridors which link Western Europe to the Black Sea. It also protects the multibillion dollar heroin trade, which uses Kosovo and Albania as transit locations for the transshipment of Afghan produced heroin into Western Europe.

That's what appears to be the actual achievements (and IMO goals) of NATO and whatever international organization administered it since the NATO bombings until now or sometime ago.
Huge unemployment rate and a size of the population that is not known precisely currently apparently from what I have read those last days.

Skunk, please read Chossudovsky's article carefully before regurgitating the official propaganda. I am so sick of it!

anything carrying an instant nato (or should that be usa) seal of approval is in itself a reason to be very concerned. especially with their history in the balkans.
