Lock-in

the mystery camera man, rather chummy with the police
the lock-up van leaving, faces obscured to protect the inocent
The initial police presence was low (a CSO was within touching distance as it was set up, but seemingly unaware). After about an hour a plain clothed officer joined by a CSO on a bike arrived and stood there almost as long as the protesters did. Trickles of other officers arrived over the next hour, and by 14:00 a total of four vans (one lock-up and three transports) had parked near by, with several cars and a 4x4 (presumably for the city centre terrain...)
Around 14:30 the protesters were addressed by Chief Inspector Andy Eddison [correct ?], and told that they were causing an obstruction to the public by blocking the doorway and were also guilty of aggravated trespass (because of the D-lock used on the door, despite that fact that all protesters were on a public pavement).
At this point the protest was surrounded by at least 17 uniformed police officers and SCO's, the police chief, four plain clothed officers, and a man filming the event with a video camera who refused to identify himself as police or otherwise.
Over the next half four the D-lock and arm-locks were cut through and three protesters were arrested for activated trespass.

No War But The Class War
18.02.2008 21:06
Friends watched you lot in action on Friday and desired to make the following comment WHY IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED THEN JOIN THE ARMY AND BECOME THE CANNON FODDER OF THE RULING CLASS?
I joke not, my pleasant day off on Sunday was spoilt by the news of your actions, then you have the nerve to ask for this article to become a front page. Do the working class a favour, and fuck off with you patronising middle class views and realise the everyday reality of being working class, sometimes choice is not an option and neither a luxury we can afford. At least men who are holding guns in their hands in Iraq won't be shopping in Meadow Hall.

Defence of the Realm

Do people NOT realise, (probably not), that the taxpayer pays for all the sick and evil advertising for forces recruitment on those street billboards and uncaring, capitalists first bus co, etc?
Of course they dont care much do they?
Got to support our boys, huh.?
Get these scoundrel and yobs off the streets and into some community correction centre, thats what I say. Obviously I mean those sicko bully boys and girls in black and yellow. Shame on them all.
Defence of the Realm. Working class dont matter. Dont be fooled or conned by these authorities - nor appeased too. They are all in it together. That what you sow, so shall you reap, or so we are told.
More and more and more protests and actions more than welcome...and then some.
Dont forget the London anti war nonsense on March 15th and the Middle Class Anti - Nuclear 50th CND anniversary at Aldermaston nuclear war compound on Monday March 24th. Be there.....or be somewhere else instead.
May the force be with you...but NOT the forces.
