NSPM: Climate Change Solutions Conference a Sucess
Alex | 14.02.2008 18:08 | Bio-technology | Climate Chaos | Technology | Sheffield
Despite the last minute cancellation of the centre for alternative technology as a key note speaker, Nottingham Student Peace Movement sucessfully hosted the first Annual Climate Change Solutions Conference at Nottingham University.
Over 40 people attended a day packed with speakers, workshops, vegan food, and discussion.
The aim of the conference was to seek for solutions to both the issues of Peak Oil and Climate Chaos. With world oil supplies in a crisis, it is the opinion of many that we have already passed, or are about to pass the peak in oil supplies. In addition to this the world is on the very brink of undeniable climate collapse. No longer can we fiddle with whether climate change is happening.
