VIVISECTOR VISITED IN BARCELONA (Spain)

anonymous report:

"Last weekend we visited the flat of Jordi Cantó Martorell*, head of the animal research facilities at the University of Barcelona, where many species of animals are imprisoned for use in experiments.

The door and several walls of the building was spray painted with sentences such as 'Jordi Cantó Murderer' or 'Jordi Cantó imprisons and kills animals for money'.

To publicly expose those responsible for animal exploitation is the least we can do to make them understand that the impunity under which they operate is beginning to crack and that sooner or later the harm they have caused will come back to them.

THE FEAR WILL CHANGE SIDES

Lovers of the night

*Note: Jordi Canto is also president of the Sociedad Española para las Ciencias del Animal de Laboratorio (SECAL), the Spanish Society for Laboratory Animal Science.

ALF REVIVAL - MEDIA REPORTS (Belgium)

Media are reporting an ALF revival in Belgium. The February 2 arson at a research building under renovation at the University of Hasselt was at least the eleventh action in Belgium since early January.

Actions have included:

- In early January, slogans were painted on four butcher shops in the towns of Bilzen and Diepenbeek. "Murder" and other slogans were left behind in red paint.

- Late on January 11, the walls, doors and windows of several butchers in Maaseik were painted.

- One butcher was painted in Houthalen-Helchteren.

- In mid-January, "Fur = Murder" was painted on a store in Sint Niklaas.

- A wall and billboard at a slaughterhouse were painted. The name of the company, Noordvlees Van Gool, was changed to "Moordvlees" (literally, "Murder meat"). The letters "ALF" also painted.

- A clothing store on Leuven's Ladeuzeplein had its facade painted with slogans ("Fur is murder," "ALF").

13 LOCKS SABOTAGED (Mexico)

received anonymously (translation):

"February 3:
Animal Liberation Front - Commando Green Black (FLA-CVN)
We decided to carry out multiple sabotages to businesses that get rich through the suffering, torture and murder of our brother and sister animals, in the town of Tultitlan in Mexico State.

This time we sabotaged 13 locks of different shops,
"pet" stores,
butchers,
rotisserie restaurant,
aquariums and
1 Bachoco store.
The owners of these speciest businesses found the mark of Animal Liberation on their storefronts and could not open all day and we do not know when they will.
If they do not close, we will close them.
If they do not stop, neither will we!"
