Sharphill under developers threat again

Sharphill woods are once again under threat from developers

I see from the bbc website that planning applications have again been submitted to build on Sharphill .

Does anyone else know any more about this ?
I have looked for info on the consultation and have so far come up with a blank.

There is a group called 'Friends of Sharphill' but I believe they are more involved in managing the woodland with the Wildlife Trust and less about fighting off Bovis and Wilson Homes.

Perhaps the old website will become active again soon which is www.savesharphill.co.uk for the latest information and campaigning.

As quoted in The Post - there is an exhibition of the proposals and all borough councillors have been sent a letter inviting them to attend.

Why Bovis and Wilson can't busy themselves by doing up some of the derelict houses around the city centre is beyond me.
