On Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2008, Animal activists caught with Actelion Pharmaceuticals at the Grand America Hotel and let them know that on this day people will continue to stand for freedom...Leaflets went flying in the room showing photos from inside HLS and half a dozen cans of silly string were emptied in this room. It was everywhere - all over the employees, in their food, in their drinks, everywhere.

(A MUST WATCH!)
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2008, Actelion Pharmaceuticals was kicking off their company's conference with a welcome banquet. Animal activists caught up to them at the Grand America Hotel and let them know that on this day people will continue to stand for freedom. Actelion Pharmaceuticals continues to support the killing of animals inside the disgusting lab Huntingdon Life Sciences. This type of pressure will continue until all ties have been severed.
A sympathetic individual working at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City tipped off local activists that Actelion Pharmaceuticals was holding their company's conference there. Knowing that Actelion were a customer of HLS - we immediately started brainstorming ways to give them a bit of a headache.
We found where they were having their dinner, we entered the room and our megaphone started blaring. Despite our enormous banner reading "DEAL WITH HLS - DEAL WITH US", it appeared that for the first 15 seconds the conference goers thought that it was some sort of practical joke - they were all laughing and smiling. And then we really started to be a pain. Leaflets went flying in the room showing photos from inside HLS. One sign, a picture of a beagle inside Huntingdon, was attached to several helium balloons. When we released the balloons, the sign floated to the top of the high ceiling, assuring that even after we departed Actelion would have to be reminded of what they pay for at Huntingdon. At this point we started to hear their boos (maybe some were booing the cruelty at Huntingdon?).
Then - even more fun for us - silly string! Half a dozen cans of silly string were emptied in this room. It was everywhere - all over the employees, in their food, in their drinks, everywhere.
A message to all animal activists: now is the time to really pressure Actelion. We have learned from our inside source that much talk of the conference now is how to deal with animal activists and they consider us to be a major threat to their business. With the general American economy turning to shit and Actelion's stock price not doing so great either, you can be assured that we'll have a major impact on this mid-size Swiss company. They have office locations around the world, including in the UK and in the USA in San Francisco.
