It's now 10 years since the Animal Rights Gatherings went international. Come and celebrate the first decade of international get-togethers at a beautiful spot to the South of Vienna, Eastern Austria, at the foot of the massive Schneeberg mountain.
The international Animal Rights Gatherings attract around 400 activists from all across Europe and beyond. It is a time to get together and talk, to socialise and build up networks. On Thursday, there will be a big demo march in Vienna in the afternoon. A train connection and coaches will bring you to the venue campsite afterwards. Please bring your tent and sleeping bags. There is enough space for all to put up their tent, and there is running water, electricity and toilets, but not much more infrastructure.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be filled with discussions, workshops and talks, and the screening of films. There will also be a football tournament, as has been traditional at such gatherings. The event will end Sunday afternoon, but you have the possibility to stay another night, if you wish.
More information will be released here nearer to the time.
Entrance free! There is no participation fee.
The vegan food provided will be kept at the lowest cost.
See you all at the Gathering in mid-August 2008!

Last year, on Thursday 9th August 2007, hundreds of animal rights activists from all over the world came together in Amsterdam to make a fist against animal cruelty together. Activists marched through the city of Amsterdam, confronting several fur shops and HLS contacts on our way.
